Italian outlet CMW claim AC Milan want to sell Charles De Ketelaere to Newcastle this summer with the Belgian failing to shine at the Serie A champion since his move from Club Brugge – with Milan requesting a fee in the region of £26m.
De Ketelaere, 21, completed a move to Milan from Brugge last summer. It comes after clocking up 120 games for the Belgian champions, having a hand in 45 goals. But as things stand, the Belgium star is yet to mirror that form in Italy.
Indeed, clocking up 26 appearances for Milan, De Ketelaere has failed to score a single goal. He has laid on just one assist for Milan. It comes after Milan felt they had pulled off a coup, beating Leeds United to the attacker’s signature.
The report says Milan are now looking to sell De Ketelaere. They are targeting De Ketelaere with a move to high-flying Newcastle. They feel Newcastle’s approach in signing young, talented stars may tempt them to sign De Ketelaere.

Milan want to sell De Ketelaere to Newcastle this summer
It is believed that Milan want to recoup a large part of the figure they paid Brugge to sign De Ketelaere – a fee of £26million. Is De Ketelaere worth that kind of amount? Perhaps he could be, but his form at Milan suggests he is not.
Newcastle are unlikely to be keen on a straight up, permanent deal for De Ketelaere. But, a loan deal with the option to buy to give De Ketelaere the chance to prove himself in the north of England. He has a deal at Milan until June 2027.
Newcastle are likely to be on the lookout for a player in De Ketelaere’s position. An attacking midfielder – but James Maddison is expected to be the main target. But De Ketelaere has potential, Claudio Ranieri said he is “elegant”.
