Italian outlet TuttoJuve claim Juventus are confident of completing a deal for Torino defender Wilfried Singo for a fee of less than £9million in the summer – amid reports that Tottenham want to bring the Ivory Coast ace to North London.

Singo, 22, has broken into Torino’s senior side over the past few seasons. He has clocked up 93 senior games for Torino since coming into the side, having a hand in 14 goals. Largely playing as a right wing-back, in a similar system to Spurs.

Newspaper Tuttosport said that Tottenham are keen on four-time Ivory Coast man Singo. Antonio Conte himself is keen on luring Singo to Spurs. His future is likely to be decided in the summer, with his contract due to end in 2024.

TJ report that one of Conte’s old sides in the form of Juventus are also looking at a move for Singo. Juventus are likely to stage a summer overhaul after a points deduction. Players will want to leave, with Europe looking very unlikely.

Juventus will have to sell their big players, rake in cash to solve their financial issues, and bring in younger players on the cheap. A full reset. Singo is the ideal kind of player for that. Juventus are confident of a deal for less than £9million.

Do Spurs need another right-back? In January, Spurs brought in Pedro Porro from Sporting Lisbon. One of their main targets over the past two windows. Emerson Royal’s form has picked up. Djed Spence has gone out on loan to Rennes.

That loan for Spence saw Spurs terminate the contract of Matt Doherty, who has since moved to Atletico Madrid on a free. So, Spurs are well-stocked at right-back. Singo is an exciting talent. Perhaps, a replacement for Royal if he goes.
