Jamie O’Hara has slated Tottenham Hotspur legend, Son Heung-min after his anonymous showing against AC Milan in the 1st leg of the Champions League Round of 16 clash.

The £192,000-a-week forward underwhelmed once again, as Antonio Conte’s side suffered a 1-0 defeat to Stefano Pioli’s men on Tuesday night.

While some feel Son Heung-min will eventually rediscover his best self in a Tottenham shirt, the others seem to agree with Jamie O’Hara, who seem to have had enough with him, as he failed to rise to the occasion against AC Milan.

Once again, the South Korean seemingly found it impossible to beat his full-back, and whilst he did make some of his signature darting runs in behind, they were either mistimed or led to nothing in what was a disappointing showing from him overall.

Jamie O’Hara seems mystified by Son Heung-min’s decline this season, as he tweeted during Tottenham Hotspur’s defeat to AC Milan, saying, “Son [Heung-min has] been awful, what’s happened to this world-class player?

One of football’s biggest mysteries indeed

In the 2021/2022 campaign, the 30-year-old shared the Premier League Golden Boot award with Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah, who was widely considered as the best player in the world at one point.

This season, Son has perhaps been the biggest underperformer in English football, and has looked like a shadow of his former self, as was evident for Tottenham against AC Milan, as Jamie O’Hara said.

The prolific goalscorer, much like on Tuesday struggled to find any space behind the Milan defence, whilst his once-feared dribbling ability seems to have become a thing of the past at this point.

At this point, Antonio Conte should consider handing the keys to Arnaut Danjuma, who has been praised by the likes of Cristian Stellini, Chloe Kelly, Alan Shearer and Taiwo Awoniyi at left wing, and assess how he performs.
