Liverpool are interested in signing Josko Gvardiol amid claims there are more and more indications of a summer pursuit.

That’s according to transfer insider Rudy Galetti, who claims Gvardiol could leave RB Leipzig this summer.

It’s stated that there are ‘more and more’ indications that Liverpool are pushing to sign Gvardiol at the end of the season.

Jurgen Klopp has allegedly identified Gvardiol as the man he wants to add to Liverpool’s back line.

The report suggests that Leipzig won’t hold any talks about a potential summer deal until the season ends.

Liverpool will struggle to set the wheels in motion for a deal now then, but Leipzig are willing to sell for around €90million (£80million).

Other clubs are bound to be interested but Liverpool are seemingly advancing their interest in the defender.

Liverpool would be ‘dream’ move for Josko Gvardiol

The rumours surrounding a move for Gvardiol come after he outlined his Liverpool aspirations.

Gvardiol admitted in January that Liverpool would be his ‘dream’ move having grown up supporting the Reds.

Gvardiol admitted that Liverpool remain in his heart having watched many of their games with his father as a kid.

Should Liverpool come calling for Gvardiol, it’s fair to say that he would be interested in the move.

Gvardiol, 21, is one of the top young centre backs in the world and enjoyed a stunning World Cup campaign with Croatia.

Quick, powerful and naturally left-footed, Gvardiol will be wanted by a host of clubs this summer and looks set for a huge future.

Liverpool need to think about revitalising their defence and adding Gvardiol to play with Virgil van Dijk could be ideal for Klopp and co.

This deal won’t come cheap – and may dent Liverpool’s hopes of signing Jude Bellingham – but fans would surely love to see Gvardiol arrive.
