Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta was fuming after Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Brentford – and Gary Lineker agrees with the Spaniard’s complaints.
The Gunners were hoping to get back to winning ways after losing 1-0 away at Everton last weekend.
Sadly, this was another tricky afternoon for Arteta and co, and it took a while for Arsenal to breach the Brentford defence.
The opener did finally come as Leandro Trossard opened his Arsenal account, only for Ivan Toney to grab a leveller.
Arsenal could only claim a 1-1 draw, again opening the door for Manchester City to pile on the pressure in the Premier League title race.

Gary Lineker agrees with Mikel Arteta on Brentford equaliser v Arsenal
The game has been shrouded in controversy though.
As the initial ball came in for Toney’s equaliser, Brentford defender Ethan Pinnock – who appeared to be offside – was grappling with Gabriel Magalhaes.
That seemed to stop Gabriel being able to block Brentford’s attack, although Arsenal could have defended better on multiple occasions after that.
It has since emerged in the Daily Mail that Lee Mason allegedly forgot to draw lines on another offside shout, with Christian Norgaard seemingly offside before teeing up Toney to score.
Arteta was absolutely raging at full time and stated that the goal should definitely have been ruled out for offside, believing that his side had been robbed of two points.
Match of the Day host Gary Lineker had a pretty simple take on the matter, taking to Twitter to state ‘he’s right’, sharing his support for the Arsenal boss.
This was even before the Norgaard news emerged, so Arsenal probably feel doubly aggrieved after dropping two points at the Emirates Stadium.
Arteta’s complaints will fall on deaf ears at this point and Arsenal will need to put this disappointment behind them and get back on track as soon as possible, maybe even using this feeling to spur them on.
