Martin Keown has criticised Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale on BBC Sport for the goal that he conceded against Brentford in the London derby on Saturday afternoon.

The Arsenal legend believes that Ramsdale was responsible for the goal that the Gunners conceded against Brentford at the Emirates Stadium in the Premier League today.

Ivan Toney scored for the Bees in the 74th minute.

The ball was poked back by Christian Norgaard after a scramble in the box, and Toney was there to tap it in.

BBC pundit Keown noted that in the build-up to the goal, Arsenal’s £24 million (The Athletic) goalkeeper came rushing out.

Keown said: “Credit to Brentford. Many looks at VAR, it looked to me like it was offside but in the end they did give it.

“Ramsdale in the build-up was drawn away out of the box and he comes rushing out. Empty goal and it was a tap in for Toney.”

Disappointing

Aaron Ramsdale is one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League, but we have to say that the Englishman should have done better for the goal that Brentford scored today.

Yes, of course, all players make mistakes, including goalkeepers.

However, Ramsdale is too good to make the bad decision that he made against the Bees.

In the end, it cost Arsenal two points.

Two vital points.

Remember, Arsenal are aiming to win the Premier League title this season.

And defending champions Manchester City are hot on their heels.
