Tim Sherwood has said on Sky Sports News (2:14pm, February 11, 2023) that Kaoru Mitoma should join Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool in the summer transfer window.
The former Tottenham Hotspur manager has been hugely impressed by Mitoma and has suggested that the 25-year-old Brighton and Hove Albion winger would be a good signing for former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners Liverpool in the summer of 2023.
Tim Sherwood wants winger Kaoru Mitoma at Liverpool
Sherwood said: “He has got everything.”
The former Aston Villa manager added: “He has got all times of goals in him. He runs with the ball, he takes players on. He really commits defenders.
“He knows when to play safe. He has got the whole package, this boy, and you know by looking at him that he has got a fantastic attitude to the game. He is relishing playing in the best league in the world, which is the Premier League.
“Liverpool? Next season, son.”

Could a summer transfer happen?
In our view, Kaoru Mitoma would not be a bad signing for Liverpool in the summer transfer window, but for the right price.
It would be silly of Liverpool to pay £50 million or £60 million for the Brighton and Hove Albion winger.
After all, Liverpool are well stocked in attacking areas and they are not desperate to add another player in that position.
However, for a decent transfer fee, Mitoma would not be a bad addition to the Liverpool squad.
The 25-year-old Japan international winger has made eight starts and seven substitute appearances in the Premier League for Brighton so far this season.
The Brighton winger has scored five goals and given one assists in those games.
