Andrea Radrizzani isn’t like most chairmen in the Premier League.
Most club owners go about their business quietly and only engage with the fans when there is official news to share.
However, Radrizzani is more vocal than most, and now, he’s once again taken to social media to give an update on Leeds’ search for a new manager.
He stated on Tuesday evening that he’d hoped to have a new manager through the door by Wednesday morning, but here we are on Thursday afternoon, and Leeds still don’t have a new gaffer.
Radrizzani has tweeted that Leeds are still conducting interviews with potential candidates, sharing a six-word tweet replying to a fan who was asking about the situation.
Radrizzani has since deleted this tweet, which is probably wise as fans were growing frustrated at a lack of progress.
If Leeds are still interviewing candidates at this point, it’s hard to imagine that a new gaffer will be in place for Sunday’s game against Manchester United.
However, that may not be the worst thing in the world.
Leeds’ skeleton staff did a brilliant job against the Red Devils on Wednesday, and a repeat performance at the weekend could see the Whites come away with all three points.
Unfortunately, it looks like Leeds haven’t made much headway in their search for a new gaffer, but it isn’t for the lack of trying.
Indeed, Victor Orta has been in Spain this week to speak to Andoni Iraola, but it looks as though that chase has ended up down a dead end.
Radrizzani is very open about the situation, and it’s refreshing to see such consistent communication from the Leeds board, but many fans will be hoping that Radrzzani’s next announcement will be regarding the hiring of a new manager rather than another update about a continuing search.
