Tottenham and Arsenal are said to be leading Bayern Munich in the race to sign Barcelona superstar Ansu Fati ahead of the summer window – a talent that has blown Ronaldinho away, the Brazilian saying Fati can be a “beautiful” player.
Fati, 20, is considered one of Europe’s best players under the age of 21. But this term, he has failed to prove that under Xavi. The rotation between the likes of Ousmane Dembele, Raphinha, Fati and Ferran Torres has hindered his progress.
This season, he has started only nine of 31 games – completing 90 minutes just twice. La Vanguardia claim Arsenal and Spurs are keen on luring Fati to the Premier League. Bayern Munich are keen, but not as much as the North Londoners.
Fati has attracted plenty of admirers, not just in the form of other clubs – but pundits and ex-Barcelona players, too. Indeed, Ronaldinho told Mundo Deportivo earlier this season that Fati must be patient, but can become a real talent.
“He’s already started really well, he started making history and I hope he can also carry on and make something really beautiful. He’s got the quality, and now he’s just got to be patient,” Ronaldinho said, when asked about Barca’s Fati.

Tottenham and Arsenal in Fati race: Player has blown Ronaldinho away
What a signing Fati could be then, for a Premier League club. Barcelona may be more open to his exit with the club in dire straits financially. They are expected to sell a number of players come the summer window, to raise serious cash.
Fati many not be on enormous wages given his age. But, he would give Barcelona an instant influx of cash in terms of his transfer fee. If he is going to be sold, then realistically, the Premier League is Barcelona’s best chance of money.
In Fati’s case, it is not so much whether a club needs him – but that they simply have to buy him given his unbelievable potential. They can make room for him. Certainly, Ronaldinho thinks he can become something special.
