According to VoetbalZone, Arne Slot, the manager of Feyenoord, has been identified as a potential option for Leeds United as they search for a new gaffer.
The Yorkshire club recently sacked Jesse Marsch and have been on the hunt for a replacement.
Carlos Corberan was thought to be a leading candidate, but after he signed a new contract at West Brom, Leeds will have to look elsewhere.
It looks like the Whites have taken a shine to the current Feyenoord boss, and it’s not surprising to hear that.
Leeds have had a close eye on developments at the Dutch club in recent times. They signed Luis Sinisterra from Feyenoord in the summer and Crysencio Summerville was also signed a few years ago. This history of signing players from Feyenoord suggests the club is impressed by the project that is being built over in Rotterdam.

As we know, Leeds do place some sort of value on signings players from clubs they think do things in the right way – hence why they’ve made so many acquisitions from the Red Bull stable in recent years.
Slot has been highly successful during his time at Feyenoord. He led the club to the top of the Eredivisie this year and guided them to a European final last season. His achievements did not go unnoticed, as he was named Manager of the Year in the Netherlands, despite not winning the league title.
The Netherlands has a long history of producing successful managers, including Johan Cruyff, Louis van Gaal, and Erik Ten Hag, and Leeds will be hoping that Slot can be the next Dutchman at the forefront of another tactical revolution.
Of course, Ten Hag is the current manager of Manchester United, and according to Mark Diemhers, a player who has worked under both managers, Slot is the better coach.
“I choose Arne Slot. I can only talk from my time. I found Ten Hag insanely good tactically, so were his training sessions. I just didn’t think he was very good at that time, on a human level. But that was already six or seven years ago. I thought Slot was a lot stronger on a human level,” Diemers said (via Voetbal Primeur).
This is certainly a situation to keep an eye on as Leeds’ search for a new manager hots up.
