Steve Nicol says Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is worthy of taking the hot seat at Real Madrid despite his recent struggles at Anfield.
Liverpool are sitting tenth in the Premier League table and Nicol thinks the ‘bad seven months’ Klopp is experiencing outweighs what he has done at the club, including in his previous gig in Dortmund.
Two Bundesliga titles up against the might of Bayern Munich were achieved by Klopp, including a few domestic honours and runners-up in the European Cup.

It’s what helped Klopp get the job on Merseyside in 2015, and since then, both parties haven’t looked back.
Some may argue that winning the Champions League was Klopp’s greatest honour at Liverpool, but it was probably bringing the title home after 30 years.
Yes, the Reds are really struggling at this moment in time, but Klopp is still one of the best in the business, which was touched upon by Nicol, as he told ESPN.
“Let’s be honest, he has had a bad seven months,” said Nicol. “But the last 14 years with Liverpool and Dortmund, he ain’t been bad.
“Really, would you have a problem?! Yeah, you are right (he would be brilliant). It would be good.”

KLOPP ISN’T THE PROBLEM AT LIVERPOOL
Very little is going right for those in Liverpool colours this season, as they stare at the possibility of missing out on European football.
Sitting in tenth spot, not only do the results need a dramatic change, but the performances as well.
Yes, Klopp needs to take some form of responsibility, but at the end of the day, he isn’t the one to blame and he has been dealt a bad hand in the transfer market.
It’s pretty clear that the club needs a refresh this summer and those in the Anfield boardroom need to give their legendary coach everything he needs.
