As per a report by the Telegraph’s James Ducker, the Premier League charges aimed at Man City could become an obstacle in their pursuit for Jude Bellingham, who has also heavily been linked with Liverpool.
It was only recently reported by the Athletic that the 19-year-old was keen on a switch to the Premier League, according to Real Madrid themselves, who are reportedly in the chasing pack for his signature as well, alongside Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola’s sides.
Now, the Reds could indeed be at an advantage to sign the £132 million-rated midfielder in the summer of 2023.
Premier League charges could impact Bellingham chase for Man City
The Telegraph journalist James Ducker has reported that the Premier League charges have put a ‘spanner in the works’ for Man City in their chase for Liverpool target Jude Bellingham.

It has also been mentioned that while the Sky Blues have a ‘huge transfer kitty’ to fund the arrival of the ‘unbelievable’ prospect and view him as a long-term replacement for Kevin De Bruyne, the charges do not help matters for the club.
On Monday, the Premier League champions even released a statement, with a trial set to be in the works months from now.
However, this could be brilliant news for long-time admirers Liverpool, who have set their sights on Jude Bellingham as their ideal midfield target.
Liverpool have a chance of emerging as leading candidates for the youngster
Considering Klopp and Co., who were on the receiving end of a 3-0 mauling by Wolves look set not to make top 4, it seemed like their chances of landing the Englishman were all but over.
However, with Bellingham keen on making a switch to the Premier League and the Premier League charges that Man City have to face, Liverpool could have a clear run of landing him.
Now, they must focus on improving their on-pitch displays to persuade the sought-after midfielder to make the switch to Anfield.
