Leeds United are parting ways with manager Jesse Marsch after yet another defeat on Sunday afternoon at the hands of Nottingham Forest.
Fabrizio Romano reports that Marsch has today been given his marching orders with Leeds now looking for a new manager.
‘Recent negative results’ are the reason for Marsch’s exit and Romano claims the Whites board are working on an appointment.
Marsch has been adamant that he can turn these negative results into wins, believing the positive performances would eventually bring points.
Leeds disagree though and Marsch is on his way out after taking just three points in the last seven Premier League games.
Leeds have won just twice in the Premier League since the end of August and Marsch has now seemingly paid the price.
Who could replace Jesse Marsch at Leeds United?
Few names have been mentioned so far but some would love Marcelo Bielsa to come back.
The Whites parted ways with Bielsa in February of last year and fast forward nearly a year, Leeds need a new manager again.
The Argentinian was heavily linked with Everton and Bournemouth in recent times and a move back to Leeds feels a little unlikely.
If Bielsa isn’t in the frame, what about Carlos Corberan?
Corberan worked alongside Bielsa at Leeds and has since become an impressive manager in his own right.
The Spaniard guided Huddersfield to the Championship playoff final against all odds and has now turned a struggling West Bromwich Albion side into playoff contenders.
Corberan knows many of the squad and brings some of those Bielsa principles, so you can imagine he will be in the mix.
Ruben Amorim and Marcelino are a couple of other names who may be on the Leeds radar as the Whites again look for a new boss.
