Arsenal targeted Amadou Onana in January but the Everton star has made his commitment absolutely clear after beating the Gunners.
The Gunners headed to Goodison Park on Saturday afternoon and fell victim to a Sean Dyche-inspired Toffees side.
Dyche’s men were right up for it in his first game in charge and claimed a 1-0 win thanks to James Tarkowski’s header.
The stage was set for Dyche masterclass and Everton were well worth their win in a battling display.
Everton were epitomised by the work rate and drive of their midfield three; Idrissa Gueye, Abdoulaye Doucoure and Amadou Onana.
All three were simply outstanding as they nullified Arsenal’s midfield and claimed a deserved three points.

Amadou Onana committed to Everton after Arsenal interest
Onana was arguably the pick of the trio.
The Belgian racked up two key passes, two tackles won, one shot on target, two interceptions, two aerial duels, one clearance, one successful dribble and one shot blocked.
Onana was just exceptional, even leaving Martin Odegaard lagging behind him as he broke into the box in the first half.
Onana kept driving Everton up the pitch and showed his passion to the Toffees fans after winning a throw-in late in the second.
This was a performance that summed up just why Arsenal actually want to sign Onana.
Belgian transfer reporter Sacha Tavolieri reported in January that Arsenal were showing an interest in landing the 21-year-old during the winter window.
Tavolieri then reported that Chelsea had made an approach to sign Onana, but he rejected them to stay with Everton.
Arsenal may well fancy signing Onana in the summer or even further down the line, but his commitment to Everton is unbreakable right now.
Everton have posted a video after from Saturday’s game with Onana offering a rather X-rated comment.
Onana looked into the camera and stated, “I ain’t f*****g going nowhere, I’m f*****g here”, as noted by the Liverpool Echo too.
Everton fans will absolutely love that and Onana will hope to be the driving force in the Toffees attempts to stay up.
