Jose Enrique has said that it may be time for Liverpool to sell Mohamed Salah next summer, replying to a fan who advised keeping him under a post that linked the player to a £71.2 million move to PSG.
There is no denying that since penning a brand-new contract at Jurgen Klopp’s side in the summer, there has been a dip in the Egyptian winger’s performances this season.
However, Jose Enrique has gone as far as to say that Liverpool should let Mohamed Salah walk through the door amid links to PSG.
Jose Enrique says Liverpool should sell PSG-linked star Salah
Ultimately, a majority of the Anfield faithful are likely to be incensed by this school of thought, considering the £34 million (Sky Sports) wideman has attained legendary status since joining the club in 2016. Even in what is regarded as a down season, the 30-year-old has 17 goals in all competitions as his side’s top scorer.
But Jose Enrique still feels that if PSG come calling, Liverpool should let Mohamed Salah leave in the summer of 2023.

“He [Mohamed Salah] is a legend, one of the biggest legends of LFC [Liverpool] and no one can take that from him but I believe maybe [it is a] is good time for him to move on and for us as well”, he said on Twitter.
In our view: Liverpool should not even think about selling Salah
Of course, the usually-prolific winger has been far from his brilliant best this season. But a major factor behind the former Roma talisman’s lack of form also stems from how poor the team have been as a unit.
When Liverpool start getting in their priority targets in the summer, Mohamed Salah will automatically return to his previous levels, disproving Jose Enrique, who is open to seeing the player join PSG.
The Reds have a number of other underperforming big-names that should be bigger candidates to leave than arguably their greatest player in the Premier League era after Steven Gerrard.
