It’s transfer deadline day and millions of football fans will be tuning into Sky Sports to watch the dramatic final hours of the transfer window.
Watching Sky Sports News on deadline day is a tradition enjoyed by many football fans up and down the country, but there’s one thing viewers may have noticed is slightly different this year. Jim White is nowhere to be seen.
The Scottish presenter was synonymous with the final hours of the transfer window for over two decades, but he’s not present on Sky this time around, so, where is Jim White?

Where is Jim White?
Jim White was a staple on Sky Sports News during transfer deadline day, with his famous yellow tie and energetic reporting style becoming synonymous with the day. However, in 2021, White made the decision to leave Sky and has since taken up a role at TalkSPORT.
This means that he will no longer be appearing on Sky Sports News during transfer deadline day, but fans can still listen to his coverage on TalkSPORT.
White is set to close the transfer window on the radio station, with his coverage starting from 10 PM onwards.
For any multi-taskers out there, it would be possible to watch Sky while listening to White at the same time.
It may be disappointing for some fans to not see White on Sky Sports News, his move to TalkSPORT has allowed him to continue his love of covering transfers and football news.
In his new role, White has become a regular voice on the radio station alongside Simon Jordan on weekday mornings, offering expert analysis and securing interesting interviews with some of the biggest names in the sport.
TalkSPORT has a huge audience, with millions of listeners tuning in every week to hear White and his co-presenters provide in-depth coverage of football news, and, as ever, White will have his finger on the pulse as we enter the final knockings of this summer transfer window.
