Makeup artist and media personality Jeffree Star has sent sporting fans into a tizzy with a series of cryptic tweets suggesting he has an “NFL boo” who, at least to some extent, matches Ethan Pocic’s description. People have pulled him into the ensuing discussion, despite his marital status.
Enter Ethan Pocic’s wife, Heather Duke, whom he married in July 2019.
They tied the knot in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and have since had two children, meaning Pocic is not the “boo” with which Star is jet-setting.
That said, however, here’s an introduction to the lives of Ethan Pocic and his wife Heather, those of their two young children, and when things got started between them.

Meet Ethan’s wife, Heather Duke Pocic, amid the buzz surrounding Jeffree Star’s cryptic tweets
Born Heather Duke, but having taken Ethan’s surname after their marriage, Heather Duke Pocic is a mother-of-two living in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
She studied medicine at Louisiana State University in her hometown of Baton Rouge, and then nursing at LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans from 2015 to 2017.
She and Ethan married on July 13, 2019 at the Hilton Baton Rouge Capitol Center. The ceremony took place on the top floor of the Hilton hotel, with a reception following afterwards in the first floor ballroom.
Heather’s brother Hunter called it a “wedding for the record books,” posting a photo reel on Instagram. He works in governmental affairs. Hunter also recently got married; his wife’s name is Jana.
Do Ethan Pocic and his wife have children?
Yes, two. The younger of the two was very young in the summer of 2021, which suggests they are coming up to their second birthday this summer.
In November 2018, Heather shared a photo of her engagement ring, which she said the jeweller had done “an AMAZING job designing.”
It contains “high quality diamonds,” she added. When Ethan was LSU Football’s player of the week in September 2015, Heather was among those congratulating him for the recognition.
She and Ethan started dating in or around September 2014. That’s the earliest date in which they appear together in her social media posts, which document many of the more significant events to have occurred during their time together.

“Goodbye LA,” Star tweeted. “Time to spend time with my #NFL boo in Wyoming.”
In another – marginally more informative – tweet, he showed what appeared to be the back of said boo. He accompanied the mirror selfie with the following pieces of information: his team didn’t make it to the Super Bowl this year; he’s 6ft 6in tall. This promptly led to a spike in searches for NFL players that are both the correct height and who didn’t make it to the Super Bowl.
