Leicester City could make a late move for Leeds United winger Jack Harrison on January transfer deadline day, according to The Daily Mail (Transfer Live blog, 5:19pm, January 31, 2023).

The report has claimed that Leicester have had a bid of £20 million for Harrison turned down by Leeds this month.

However, the former Premier League champions remain keen on signing the ex-Manchester City prospect, described as “fantastic” by Leeds head coach Jesse Marsch in Leeds Live in 2022.

Leicester are willing to make a new offer for Leeds and to Harrison, but the winger may consider leaving the Whites at the end of the season when he will have more time and options, according to the report.

Could Jack Harrison leave Leeds for Leicester now?

In our view, it is unlikely that Leeds United will sell Jack Harrison to Leicester City so late in the January transfer window.

There is simply no time left for the Whites to bring in a replacement for the winger.

Moreover, why would Leeds strengthen one of their relegation rivals by selling them one of their players so late on January transfer deadline day?

Both Leeds and Leicester are in danger of getting relegated to the Championship at the end of the season.

It would also make sense for Harrison to stay at Leeds until the end of the summer of 2023 and then make a decision on his future.

Can you imagine how the winger would feel if he joined Leicester now and the Foxes went down to the Championship at the end of the season?
