Everton are interested in Michy Batshuayi but the Fenerbahce striker is happy in Turkey and has no plans to move in the coming hours.

That’s according to The Athletic, who claim that Everton have explored a move to bring Batshuayi back to the Premier League.

However, Batshuayi has snubbed the interest as he is happy at Fenerbahce and wants to stay with the Turkish club.

It’s added that Batshuayi would have only wanted to leave Fenerbahce for a ‘more stable project’ than Everton.

The Toffees are desperate for a new striker and have some cash to spend having allowed Anthony Gordon to join Newcastle United.

Yet Everton just haven’t been able to secure a deal and whilst names keep being linked, the rumours keep amounting to nothing.

Michy Batshuayi could have been a valuable signing for Everton

Batshuayi, 29, finally left Chelsea last summer as he made a permanent move to Fenerbahce.

The Belgian attacker hit 14 goals in 33 games on loan at Besiktas last season but then joined their rivals Fenerbahce.

The move has worked perfectly for Batshuayi, who has smashed 10 goals in 14 league games this season.

Everton understandably looked at that record and wanted to give him another shot at Premier League success.

Batshuayi just wasn’t able to become a regular goalscorer with Chelsea or Crystal Palace, so Everton tried their luck at giving him another chance.

Batshuayi certainly has more goalscoring threat than Neal Maupay and could have been a quality addition for Everton.

Hailed as ‘top class’ by former Eveton boss Frank Lampard for his his effort in training, his positive demeanour and his quality.

That’s what Everton need right now but Batshuayi just isn’t interested, leaving the Toffees to go back to the drawing board once again.
