Be Soccer Sevilla reported Jose Manuel Rodriguez has posted a short video on Twitter of Tottenham star Bryan Gil arriving at Sevilla airport ahead of completing a loan deal without a permanent option – which sees Gil return to Sevilla.
Gil, 21, is set to move to Sevilla on loan for the second half of the season. His second loan away from Spurs after a loan at Valencia during the second half of last term. It comes after managing just 11 outings this term, four in the League.
He did start against Crystal Palace and impressed in the 4-0 away win. But with Richarlison and Deki Kulusevski fit, and Arnaut Danjuma in on loan from Villarreal – Gil has been allowed to go out on loan. He rejoins Sevilla until the summer.
Spurs actually signed him from Sevilla in a deal worth £21.6million plus Erik Lamela. Now, he is back at the La Liga side. Rodriguez posted a six-second video on Twitter – in which Gil says “muy contento”, or “very happy” ahead of a move.

Is it the right move? Spurs are well-stocked in the final third, even if Brazil ace Lucas Moura departs. But, Gil needs game time at this stage and a move back to a club he knows well could get the best out of the Spain international.
Spurs will be hoping he succeeds. The fact that they have not included a permanent clause is proof they still see a future in Gil at Spurs. He has a contract at Spurs until the summer of 2026, but a loan can show Spurs what he can do.
Tottenham will also be aware that they can only name 17 non-English players in their Champions League squad. Signing a foreign player like Pedro Porro takes the current amount to 19. Gil reduces that number by one this month.
