Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United have no chance of signing Harry Kane from Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2023, according to SkyGermany journalist Florian Plettenberg on Twitter.

Plettenberg has claimed that the agent of Kane and Tottenham have been in talks over a new contract.

Spurs are now very optimistic that the £200,000-a-week (SalarySport) striker will sign a new deal and extend his stay at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium beyond the summer of 2024.

Manchester United and Bayern Munich have “no chance” of signing Kane, according to Plettenberg.

The Daily Mail have claimed that United, Bayern and Real Madrid are interested in securing the services of the 29-year-old England international in the summer of 2023.

Harry Kane update good news for Tottenham, disappointing for Manchester United

Now, Manchester United are doing well at the moment, but head coach Erik ten Hag does need to sign a world-class striker in the summer of 2023.

If the Red Devils are to challenge for the Premier League title and compete for the UEFA Champions League on a regular basis, then they need a quality number 9 like Harry Kane.

However, it seems that the striker could extend his stay at Tottenham.

That will be bitterly disappointing for United, but for Spurs it is superb news.

Kane is one of the best strikers on the planet and is world class.

We do not think that Tottenham will be able to get a replacement for Kane who is as good as he is.

So, Kane staying at Spurs for the long term is brilliant for Spurs.
