Marcelo Bielsa has now travelled to London to hold further talks with Everton – Sean Dyche is waiting in the wings as a backup option.
What’s the story?
Well, the Telegraph believe Bielsa needs a lot of convincing over a move to Goodison Park, but he is still willing to listen to what Farhad Moshiri has to say about the opportunity to replace Frank Lampard.
The Argentina has many reservations about taking over the Toffees, with the Daily Mail adding that he feels Everton need quicker players for his tactics to be effective.
Despite that, Moshiri is keen to convince Bielsa, although the 67-year-old realises that he must make a decision soon as whoever replaces Lampard needs time to make some signings of their own.
The Telegraph believe Dyche – who is contrastingly very enthusiastic about replacing Lampard – is likely to be hired if crunch talks with the South American collapse in London today.
Bielsa has been unemployed since receiving his P45 at Leeds back in February, where he won 23 of his 64 Premier League games in charge.
Everton have also held talks with Dyche, and despite the fact he is aware of his status as their second choice, the 51-year-old seems more than happy to join the Toffees if Bielsa does not.
Everton should choose Dyche over Bielsa
In our view, Dyche should be Everton’s No.1 choice over Bielsa given his enthusiasm for the vacancy.
That positive mentality is exactly what the Toffees need as they sit joint-bottom of the Premier League, and aside from his outlook on the job, he also has what it takes to adapt to the current situation.

The Times believe Everton must operate on a shoestring budget given their Financial Fair Play issues, which Dyche became accustomed to during his time at Burnley, where he was rarely afforded an expensive signing.
Despite that, Dyche still guided Burnley into the Europa League, and left enough of a legacy to have a pub named after him in the local area – The Royal Dyche.
Be sure to keep an eye on this situation, as the Telegraph also mention that Everton hope to make an appointment before the weekend.
