Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla has reported that Tottenham Hotspur transfer target Nicolo Zaniolo has agreed terms with AC Milan over a loan move to the Serie A champions – with wages worth between £55,000 and £63,000 a week.
Zaniolo, 23, has been strongly linked with a move to Tottenham this month. It comes after talks over a new deal at Roma broke down. Despite the Italy star having a hand in 17 goals last season. Spurs wanted a loan deal for Zaniolo.
Gianluca Di Marzio says that loan deal would only include an obligation to buy, if Spurs qualify for the Champions League. Milan wanted a permanent sale this month, or an obligation without conditions. A move has not materialised.
Since initial interest from Spurs, it became clear that Zaniolo wanted to remain in Italy. A move to Milan is now on the cards. Pedulla reports that Milan are closing in on Zaniolo. Personal terms have been agreed with the Italy forward.

Pedulla: Tottenham transfer target Zaniolo agrees terms with AC Milan
With Spurs hijacking an Everton move for Arnaut Danjuma, it does make sense that Zaniolo is no longer an option for Spurs. It is likely that having failed to agree on the type of deal for Zaniolo, Spurs instead made a move for Danjuma.
Zaniolo needs a club where is going to play regularly. While he would have joined a side that would have seen him get minutes, he would have been cover for Harry Kane, Son Heung-min and Deki Kulusevski. He may start at AC Milan.
Just as if Zaniolo’s move this month did not need more spice, it will now see Zaniolo potentially play against Spurs in the Champions League knockout stages. Typically, and as fate would have it, you would not bet against him scoring.
