Tottenham Hotspur continue to chase Pedro Porro and now hope to have a deal agreed for the Sporting wing back by the end of today.
That’s according to the Daily Mail, who claim that talks over a deal for Porro will resume later today with no agreement in place yet.
It’s stated that Tottenham’s offer of £32.5million has been rejected with Spurs trying everything to get a deal done; add-ons, players in exchange, you name it.
Sporting had been sticking to their £40million demands due to the release clause in Porro’s contract.
Yet with Manchester City lurking with a buy-back clause worth just €20million (£17.7million), Sporting may now soften their stance.
The Mirror suggested earlier this month that Porro has already agreed to the move and Tottenham seemingly think that a deal can be done within hours.

Tottenham signing Pedro Porro and Arnaut Danjuma would be a huge boost
The talks for Porro ramping up with hopefully lead to a deal – and therefore a double arrival for Antonio Conte.
Tottenham appear to be on the verge of signing an attacking player with Arnaut Danjuma set to arrive from Villarreal.
The Athletic’s David Ornstein reports that Danjuma is was heading for a medical with Tottenham on Tuesday.
Tottenham have hijacked Everton’s deal for Danjuma and the Dutchman looks to be on verge of joining Spurs.
Danjuma offers another option down the left flank for Tottenham and he is even able to play as a striker.
A loan with option to buy seems to be imminent for Danjuma, with cash being used to bring Porro to North London.
Another attacking threat and a right wing back were vital additions for Tottenham heading into this transfer window.
Danjuma and Porro should be a real boost for Conte as Tottenham look to secure a Champions League spot.
