According to a report by the Sun’s Martin Blackburn, Kylian Mbappe plans to urge PSG to try to sign Man City midfielder Bernardo Silva in the summer once again, if he stays at the club himself.

Mbappe will advise PSG to launch a bid for Bernardo Silva

After all, in the summer of 2022, it seemed as if the Parisians were set to splash the cash to sign the Portuguese maestro, as Barcelona’s financial crisis deterred their chase for their reported dream target.

With the French club making a late approach for the £43 million man (BBC Sport) and leaving City with little to no time to find an adequate replacement, a transfer failed to come to fruition.

However, it seems none other than Kylian Mbappe is keen on Bernardo Silva joining PSG in the summer.

The World Cup winner is believed to ‘love’ the idea of reuniting with his former Monaco teammate.

In addition, the report mentions that the diminutive technician is set to discuss this future with the club at the end of the ongoing season.

Additionally, the point about Silva desiring to play elsewhere at a club which is closer to his homeland has also been emphasised.

Could Bernardo actually leave City?

For 3 consecutive summers, Bernardo Silva, who is now seemingly wanted by Kylian Mbappe at PSG has been close to an exit from Man City.

However, on each occasion, transfers that seemed inevitable have failed to get over the line.

But considering Pep Guardiola’s famous policy of letting unsettled players leave at their will, it is likely that the Etihad fan favourite finally gets his wish.

After all, the same was the case with Raheem Sterling, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Gabriel Jesus, and the likes of Ferran Torres and Leroy Sane in the past.

Bernardo Silva and Kylian Mbappe could well reunite at PSG, while Man City try to replace one of the most complete midfielders in the world.
