Leeds United wonderkid Cody Drameh is set to join Luton Town, as a loan deal until the remainder of the season has been agreed, as per Sky Sports.

Leeds defender Cody Drameh set for Luton loan

The prodigious right-back has been linked with moves away from Elland Road for a number of months.

However, it seems Cody Drameh will spend the rest of the current campaign on loan at Luton, instead of merely waiting in the wings for Leeds.

Furthermore, it has been claimed that Preston North End were in talks to sign the 21-year-old on a temporary basis.

Similarly, even Cardiff City were hoping to hijack a late deal for Drameh, who previously thrived at the club on loan, with the-then boss Steve Morrison calling him ‘phenomenal’ (via WalesOnline).

However, the Welsh club need to appoint a new head coach first before addressing other priorities.

Despite all these options presented in front of him, Drameh seemingly favoured a loan switch to Luton Town, who are currently sitting 7th in the Championship table after Nathan Jones’ mid-season departure.

Perfect opportunity for Drameh to prove his worth

For years on end now, a whole host of academy talents have gone on loan to the second tier of English football and come out of the other side as different beasts.

Famously, Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount became a Champions League winner just 2 seasons after playing under Frank Lampard’s tutelage at Derby County.

Cody Drameh could well also see his stock reach an all-time high if he does the business at Luton Town, potentially also opening himself to becoming a first-team player imminently.

Considering Jesse Marsch always looks forward to giving young players a chance and has praised him on a number of instances in the past, the highly-rated full-back finally has the chance to make one hell of an impression.
