The ever-reliable Fabrizio Romano has reported that Tottenham Hotspur have scheduled a meeting with Sporting CP tomorrow (Wednesday) over the signing of Pedro Porro.

Tottenham schedule Pedro Porro meeting tomorrow

Further details claim that the initial £32.6 million bid made by Antonio Conte’s side to complete a deal for the Spaniard was not deemed ‘enough’ to convince the Portuguese giants to sell him in January.

On Tuesday, a meeting between both clubs transpired to sign the former Manchester City right-back for the aforementioned fee plus add-ons, as per the Italian journalist himself.

However, Tottenham have taken yet another step to sign Pedro Porro, valued at £40 million as they have a meeting in place with Sporting CP tomorrow.

Romano has also stated that Spurs are ‘hoping’ to persuade the Primeira Liga club to sell the 23-year-old, who is a ‘top target’ for Chelsea (as per Simon Phillips) by inserting add-ons in the deal.

Or, the Premier League side are open to even offering either one of their players instead, or even both just to ensure the highly-rated defender makes his way to the white half of North London.

Fabrizio Romano has also been ‘told’ that payment terms will be vital if any deal is to go over the line.

Only time will tell whether the meeting in place between Tottenham Hotspur and Sporting CP tomorrow for the potential transfer of Pedro Porro leads to a breakthrough.

Spurs displaying willingness to keep Conte with Porro chase

Unless you have been living under a rock, it has been quite evident to see that Antonio Conte has been undecided about his desire to sign a new contract with Tottenham.

Constant hints aimed towards not being backed enough in the transfer window seems to have vexed the former Inter Milan boss.

However, it has also been widely reported that until Conte is at the club, the Spanish sensation is one of his biggest January targets.

The fact that Tottenham are doubling down on their pursuit for Pedro Porro by holding a meeting tomorrow just showcases that they aim to convince the renowned tactician about their willingness to keep him at the club beyond the end of the season.
