There are a lot of new mechanics that have been introduced in Fire Emblem Engage, and using the Fortune Teller is one of them. There hasn’t been a Fortune Teller mechanic in Fire Emblem before, and this is a good way to build up relationships and support with characters you weren’t planning on building it with in the first place. This is how you use the Fortune Teller in Fire Emblem Engage.

If you want to build relationships between characters but are unsure who needs their support levels built up, this is a great way to find out. It is a bit of a niche and peculiar method and comes later in the game, but it is useful.

To be able to use the Fortune Teller, you will need to unlock a specific unit later in the game, which you can get by recruiting them in Chapter 15. If you don’t recruit them, then you won’t be able to play matchmaker.

Here is how you can use the Fortune Teller in Fire Emblem Engage.

How To Unlock The Fortune Teller

To unlock the Fortune Teller, you have to complete Chapter 15. However, during the battle of Chapter 15, you have to recruit Seadall. Seadall is the Fortune Teller, and without him, you won’t be able to use it otherwise. Once you have rescued him, you will want to go back to Somniel, where you will get a notification that the Fortune Teller has been unlocked.

The Fortune Teller can only be accessed at night, so if you want to use it and it happens to be daytime, go to Alear’s bedroom and take a nap to set it to nighttime, and then go speak to Seadall.

How To Use The Fortune Teller

To use the Fortune Teller in Fire Emblem Engage, you will be given a full list of everyone who has joined the cause. You can then click on the ally you are interested in. There will be a button labeled ‘Thinking Of’ which you can press and it will tell you which person they are thinking of. This will allow you a better chance to then build up their support with that person by pairing them up in battle.

It’s important to note that it does change between battles, so there is no guarantee it’ll be the same person each time. As well, they are not guaranteed to be thinking about each other. One of them may be thinking about someone else.

It does tend to favor less-used allies too, so if you are trying to grind for a high support level between two allies and want to confirm that they are thinking about each other by asking Seadall, the chances are, they aren’t.

That’s all you need to know about using the Fortune Teller in Fire Emblem Engage.
