According to Tuttosport, Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur want to sign Real Valladolid right-back Ivan Fresneda, but talkSPORT have reported that it is Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal who are leading the race for the teenager.
Tottenham and Arsenal competing for Ivan Fresneda
Tuttosport have reported that Tottenham have identified Fresneda as a potential alternative to Sporting Lisbon right-back Pedro Porro.
Juventus and Newcastle United are also reported to be interested in the Spain Under-19 international.
However, it is Tottenham’s bitter North London rivals Arsenal who are in pole position for the 18-year-old.
According to talkSPORT, Arsenal are leading the race for Fresneda, described as “fantastic” and “brutal” by Valladolid head coach Pacheta in MundoDeportivo in January 2023.

The report has claimed that Wolverhampton Wanderers are also keen on the teenager, but they are eyeing a move for next summer.
Stats
Ivan Fresneda is one of the best right-backs in La Liga and has done well for Real Valladolid so far.
The Spaniard has made seven starts and two substitute appearances in La Liga so far this season.
If Arsenal or Tottenham make a good offer for the teenager, then they could be able to sign him from Valladolid in the January transfer window.
