Speaking on his YouTube channel, Fabrizio Romano has been discussing the rumours that have been linking Eduardo Camavinga with a move to Arsenal.

The French midfielder is reportedly a target for the Gunners on loan according to the London Evening Standard, and after these rumours emerged, Romano went to check out this story.

Unfortunately for Arsenal fans, it’s not good news on this front as Romano says that sources within Real Madrid have told him that they have absolutely no intention to loan out Camavinga.

Camavinga going nowhere

Romano shared what he knows about this situation.

“We’ve had rumours about a potential loan move to Arsenal for Eduardo Camavinga. This is the story in the last 24 hours. I was checking because it’s important to clarify this situation,” Romano said.

“What I am told is that Real Madrid have no chance and no intention of letting Camavinga leave on loan. Real Madrid want to stay with the same squad at least until the end of the season. They trust Camavinga, they are convinced he is an important player for the present and the future. At the moment Real Madrid are not having any conversations to let Camavinga leave.”

Look elsewhere

Usually in this situation, we’d say that Arsenal should keep trying to sign Camavinga, but if there’s one team’s arm you’re not going to twist it’s Real Madrid’s.

Los Blancos are undoubtedly one of the most powerful teams in world football, and if they don’t want to let a player go, they won’t.

Madrid want to keep Camavinga and that’s the bottom line of the situation. Nothing more needs to really be said on this front.

Arsenal will have to look elsewhere if they want to add a new midfielder to their squad this term.
