Fabrizio Romano has reported on Twitter that Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal have opened talks with Real Valladolid over the signing of Ivan Fresneda in the January transfer window.

The Italian journalist has claimed that Arsenal have started talks with Valladolid as well as Fresneda’s agents over a transfer.

Discussions are now taking place, according to Romano, who had earlier claimed that Arsenal were due to speak to the right-back’s agents in London next week.

Exciting for Gunners fans

Arsenal have been quite busy in recent days, and it is really exciting for the Emirates Stadium faithful that the club could make yet another signing in the January transfer window.

The Gunners have already brought in Belgium international winger Leandro Trossard from Premier League rivals Brighton and Hove Albion.

And there is also strong speculation that Arsenal will complete the signing of Poland international centre-back Jakub Kiwior over the weekend.

And it seems that the North London club are trying to get a deal done for Spanish right-back Fresneda as well.

Arsenal are aiming to win the Premier League title this season, and it seems that the Gunners are doing everything they can to bulk up the squad and help manager Mikel Arteta get it over the line.
