West Ham United have decided to sell Craig Dawson to Wolverhampton Wanderers in the January transfer window, according to The Daily Mail.

The report has claimed that Dawson has been looking to leave West Ham for a while now to go back to the Midlands for family reasons.

And now West Ham have agreed to his departure.

Wolves will reportedly pay Premier League rivals West Ham £3.3 million in transfer fees for the £52,000-a-week defender (SalarySport).

However, according to The Daily Mail, West Ham will not let Dawson leave until next week.

Sensible decision from the Hammers?

In our view, it is a sensible decision of West Ham United to let Craig Dawson leave, even though it is to fellow relegation candidates Wolverhampton Wanderers.

If the 32-year-old himself wanted to leave the Hammers for family reasons, then there was no point in the London club keeping him against his will.

Dawson has not had the best of times at West Ham this season, and perhaps he will be happier at Wolves.

The 32-year-old has made eight appearances in the Premier League, one in the FA Cup, and two starts and two substitute appearances in the UEFA Europa League Conference for David Moyes’s side so far this season.
