West Ham United have made their move for Danny Ings as David Moyes finally hopes to snap up the Aston Villa striker this month.
That’s according to The Telegraph, who claim that West Ham have made an offer for Ings and he is valued at around £15million by Villa.
The Daily Mail add that West Ham’s offer is worth around £12million, so just £3million short of the potential asking price.
It’s noted that Villa didn’t want to lose Ings but they are now tempted after agreeing to sign Chicago Fire striker Jhon Duran this week.
Sky Sports even claim that talks over a move for Ings to join West Ham are now ‘advanced’.
West Ham hope to convince Villa to sell this month and give Moyes a new goalscoring threat to support summer signing Gianluca Scamacca.

West Ham boss Moyes has wanted Danny Ings for years
Some will remember that Moyes actually wanted to sign Ings many, many years.
Moyes was in charge of Real Sociedad over in Spain when Ings was coming towards the end of his Burnley contract.
Moyes suggested that he would like to sign Ings but wasn’t sure if Sociedad would be able to afford him.
Ings did leave Burnley but picked a move to Liverpool, who Sociedad were never likely to beat in the race.
That was some eight years ago but Moyes clearly still fancies Ings and West Ham are now making their move.
Ings, 30, has turned out 48 times for Villa since joining from Southampton in 2021, notching 13 goals in 48 appearances.
West Ham would ultimately be looking for Ings to recapture his Saints form, where he smashed 34 goals in his final two seasons.
Hailed as ‘brilliant’ by Villa teammate Matty Cash, the time may be right for Ings to move on and West Ham appear to have real hope of a deal.
