ITV pundit Roy Keane has said that the one question mark over Leeds United ace Wilfried Gnonto is whether he can get enough goals and assists to be classed as a top player.

The £3.8 million (Daily Mail) man was a class apart in his side’s latest 5-2 mauling of Cardiff City, where he scored a brilliant brace.

However, Roy Keane still feels Leeds talisman Gnonto must prove that he can get enough goals and assists to justify the hype around his name.

On Wednesday, the Italian international opened the scoring in style by volleying a sublime lobbed pass from Rodrigo with his weaker left foot.

For his second goal of the night, the 19-year-old drove past his defender before rifling the back right into the bottom corner.

Gnonto impressed to the extent that BBC pundit Pat Nevin claimed that fans will ‘love watching’ him for years to come.

Clearly, Wilfried Gnonto seemed to satisfy Roy Keane from a goals perspective for Leeds, but it seems as if the Irishman would like him to make it a habit of putting the ball in the back of the net while also getting assists.

Now, the former Manchester United captain and high-profile pundit has his say.

Roy Keane has said that one question mark over Leeds United sensation Wilfried Gnonto is whether he can get goals and assists on a regular basis.

“He’s [Wilfried Gnonto] obviously got a bit of talent but the big question mark over the next few months for the player is whether he has the end product, particularly goals and assists.”

“He’s a young player and it’s early days for him. Give him a chance to mature”, he said on ITV.

Ultimately, Wilfried Gnonto would aim to get as many goals and assists as possible for Leeds and complete the challenge seemingly set out by Roy Keane.
