Arsenal want Moises Caicedo and are seemingly ready to strike should Brighton and Hove Albion show any interest in selling.

That’s according to 90Min, who claim that Arsenal are one of the teams expecting to battle for Caicedo.

It’s stated that Manchester United, Liverpool and Newcastle United are all looking to fight for the Ecuadorian midfielder.

Chelsea are very keen and reports from the Daily Mail this week suggested that the Blues were ramping up their interest in signing him this month.

90Min suggest that Brighton can’t see any chance of selling Caicedo in January but Arsenal are positioning themselves if there is a race for him this summer.

Arsenal to do battle with Chelsea again over Moises Caicedo

Arsenal versus Chelsea is one of the top derbies in the Premier League and their rivalry goes beyond the pitch right now.

Chelsea hijacked Arsenal in the race to sign Shakhtar Donetsk winger Mykhailo Mudryk last week.

That was a hammer blow to Arsenal and the two clubs continue to be linked with the same players.

Declan Rice is one name in the mix for both clubs, whilst Leandro Trossard is another name touted for the two sides.

It looks like Arsenal have won the race for Trossard but the Caicedo battle will be fascinating.

The 21-year-old has taken the Premier League by storm with Brighton and will almost certainly rake in over £65million whenever he is sold.

Arsenal may view Caicedo as a player who can offer competition for Thomas Partey in the holding midfield role in Mikel Arteta’s side.

Caicedo can offer plenty going forward but his defensive instincts will make him appealing for that role.

Chelsea do though have Caicedo’s former Brighton boss Graham Potter in charge and reuniting with him is something that could tempt Caicedo.

Hailed as ‘incredible’ by Brighton teammate Adam Webster, Caicedo looks set to be a star for years to come – and Arsenal would love to get revenge on Chelsea by luring him to the Emirates Stadium after missing out on Mudryk.
