West Ham United could be set for a transfer blow as 90 Min have reported that Manchester United have no intention to send Harry Maguire on loan.
The Mirror had recently made a claim that David Moyes’ side were keen on signing the England international.
But now, it seems Manchester United have decided not to send Harry Maguire on loan amid links to West Ham.
This is a major blow to the Hammers, as they seemed to have a pray of landing a defender regarded as one of the very best in the Premier League, as recently as in the 2020/2021 season.
So much so that former Three Lions boss Sven Goran-Eriksson dubbed the former Leicester City colossus as a ‘world-class centre-back’ in December (via MEN).
Considering there is uncertainty around the future of Wolves-linked ace, Craig Dawson, while Angelo Ogbonna’s contract expires in the summer, the East Londoners have a defensive crisis on their hands.
The likes of Nayef Aguerd and Kurt Zouma have also struggled to stay fit this campaign, which has not made life any easier for David Moyes.
As a result, landing Harry Maguire on loan from Manchester United would have been a blessing for West Ham.
However, that dream seems unlikely to turn into reality.
Manchester United plan not to sanction Harry Maguire to West Ham loan

As per a latest report by 90 Min, Manchester United intend not to send West Ham-linked defender Harry Maguire on loan.
Erik ten Hag reportedly believes that the England international could play a crucial role to his side during the second half of the season.
With Raphael Varane being notoriously injury-prone, while Lisandro Martinez still settling into proceedings after his return from the World Cup, the Dutchman’s feelings are understandable.
However, this does not help West Ham in any capacity, who would have hoped to land Harry Maguire on loan amidst their current battle for survival.
