Brentford goalkeeper David Raya will wait until the summer to decide his future as Tottenham Hotspur weigh up a move.

It’s time for Tottenham Hotspur to sign a new first-choice goalkeeper.

Hugo Lloris may have reached the World Cup final with France but his recent form for Tottenham has been pretty dismal.

Sunday’s error against Arsenal summed up that Lloris is a fading force between the sticks.

Tottenham need to find a real replacement for Lloris and 90Min claimed in November that Spurs are eyeing a move for Raya.

The Athletic noted last week that Brentford think Raya will look to leave rather than sign a new contract with the Bees.

Raya has now told AS that he will assess his future at the end of the season as he is focused on Brentford for now, but did not that ‘every player has goals’, hinting at being keen on a possible move.

Manchester United join Tottenham in David Raya race

The Telegraph now report that Chelsea and Manchester United are rivalling Tottenham in the race to sign Raya.

It’s claimed that Raya is expected to cost around £15million to £20million with Brentford potentially ready to cash in.

Chelsea boss Graham Potter doesn’t seem convinced by Edouard Mendy or Kepa Arrizabalaga, so a move for a new goalkeeper is expected.

United goalkeeper David De Gea is out of contract at the end of the season and the Red Devils could move for a real ball-playing goalkeeper like Raya.

Those two clubs having an interest in Raya is a problem for Tottenham, who will face a major battle to land Raya.

Jurgen Klopp branded Raya “incredible” and joked that he could even play as a no.10 because he is so good with his feet.

It’s therefore no surprise that teams seeking a ball-playing goalkeeper want Raya, and there appears to be a three-team battle on the horizon.
