BBC pundit Pat Nevin has praised Rodrigo Moreno for his composure, as he scored the second goal of the night for Leeds United, who beat Cardiff City 5-2 in the FA Cup 3rd Round replay.
The £30 million (Guardian) man registered his 12th goal in all competitions, as he has come into his own for Jesse Marsch’s side in the 2022/2023 season.
Rodrigo latched on to a stunning assist from Jack Harrison, but he duly got his praise from the pundit for having the composure to take a touch before rounding the Cardiff goalkeeper, before firing the ball into to back of the net to double Leeds’ lead.
Ultimately, that is a mark of a striker who is certainly not short of any confidence.
The Whites have largely had more lows than highs this campaign, sitting 14th in the Premier League table now.
Yet, the 31-year-old has been on fire and is playing his finest football to day at Elland Road.
Understandably, Rodrigo deserves praise from the pundit, especially for his ice-cold finish for Leeds United against Cardiff in the FA Cup.
Pat Nevin had his say on a brilliant bit of composure and presence of mind from the seasoned goalscorer.
BBC pundit Pat Nevin lauds Rodrigo after goal for Leeds United vs Cardiff in FA Cup clash

The well-known BBC pundit heaped praise on to Rodrigo for his composed goal for Leeds against Cardiff City in the FA Cup.
“A lesser quality player would have shot first time. Rodrigo is a class above.”
“He knows it is difficult chance from that angle, so he just waits, he waits for the ‘keeper to come.”
“It’s the most comfortable pass into the far corner once he takes the ‘keeper out of the play. No blame to the ‘keeper whatsoever, just well done, Rodrigo”, he told BBC Sport.
BBC pundit Pat Nevin is spot on, as the experienced marksman showed a level of composure that only players of his quality can do for his goal for Leeds against Cardiff in the FA Cup.
