The Daily Mail have reported that Man City are keeping tabs on £86 million-rated (Evening Standard) Napoli winger, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia in a potential summer move.

The interest from Pep Guardiola and Co. certainly makes sense, as they are in desperate need of a brand-new wideman.

As a result, it is understandable that Man City reportedly want to land Khvicha Kvaratskhelia in what could be a potential transfer worth £86 million.

Currently, City only have one natural, established winger within their ranks, and that is Riyad Mahrez, with Cole Palmer still being bedded into the senior setup.

However, the Algerian international turns 32 in February and ever since the backend of the 2021/2022 season, his performances have suffered a steep decline.

As for Phil Foden, while he has thrived on the flanks, his best position remains as a No.10, where he has operated since his younger days.

Jack Grealish, on the other hand is widely believed to have initially being brought in as a central midfielder in order to replace the-then outgoing Bernardo Silva.

The former Aston Villa talisman is a wide playmaker, but cannot play that role at the Etihad Stadium due to the lack of an overlapping winger.

As a result, it is no surprise to see Man City targeting £86 million-rated Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, described as ‘incredible’ by Fabrizio Romano, as well as compared to Kaka (via House of Champions Podcast).

According to a new report by the Daily Mail, Man City are ‘monitoring’ Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who has been touted to potentially depart Napoli for £86 million in the summer.

However, with the Georgian’s contract set to expire in 2027, it is likely that completing a deal for even Guardiola’s side will be a challenge.

Ultimately, a majority of Man City fans will hope that the 21-year-old joins the club, even if he costs above £86 million next summer.
