Transfer insider Fabrizio Romano has relayed that Leicester City have completed a deal to sign FC Copenhagen defender, Victor Kristiansen for £17.5 million.

The 20-year-old’s arrival is a welcome one, as Brendan Rodgers’ side are in desperate need of reinforcements across the board.

Now, Victor Kristiansen seems set to join Leicester for £17.5 million imminently.

The Danish wonderkid is a left-back by trade, a position where the Foxes certainly needed strengthening.

The last time James Justin made a Premier League appearance for Leicester was back in early November against Everton, due to suffering an Achilles tendon rupture, as per Transfermarkt.

Ever since, Luke Thomas has started as the side’s left-back.

While Thomas is certainly naturally talented, it is worth saying at 21 years of age, his skillset is still rather raw, despite his potential.

Keeping that in mind, signing Victor Kristiansen for a £17.5 million fee seems like an astute pickup from Leicester City.

As per ‘Football Talent Scout-Jacek Kulig’, the youngster’s finest qualities are his “pace, power, dynamism, dribbling, ball control, tackling, crossing.”

Furthermore, the renowned scout likened him to Liverpool star, Kostas Tsimikas, who Jurgen Klopp said has a ‘lot of quality’ (Metro).

It seems as if the Foxes are signing a potential gem in the wonderkid.

Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Leicester City are set to sign Victor Kristiansen for £17.5 million in January.

It has been mentioned that the deal will cost £17.5 million, including add-ons.

Recently, the player himself said he was tailor-made for Premier League football, saying, “I actually think I have the package (to thrive in the Premier League).”

“I’m reasonably hopeful if it’s something that comes to the table, but we’ll have to see. The Premier League is a boy’s dream. I think it is for most people when they start playing football.”

Ultimately, Leicester fans will be hoping that Victor Kristiansen is spot on, after their £17.5 million outlay to bring him to the King Power Stadium.
