Speaking on his YouTube channel, Fabrizio Romano has been sharing a transfer update about Tottenham Hotspur as we enter the final weeks of the transfer window.

The north London club are stuck in a rut right now, and they need a change of fortunes if they are to make the top four this season.

One way in which the club can improve their fortunes is to sign new players, and according to Romano, Spurs are planning on pushing once again for Pedro Porro this week with the player convinced about making the move to Spurs.

Tottenham to push for Porro again

Romano shared what he knows about the 23-year-old and Tottenham.

“Tottenham in the final days of the transfer window need something new. Antonio Conte is desperate for new signings. Pedro Porro is the top target as a new right-back. I’m told that new contacts are taking place this week. Tottenham will try to push again. The player wants the move, now it’s up to Tottenham to negotiate again with Sporting and to tempt them with a different kind of bid,” Romano said.

Get it done

The north London derby should’ve been a wake-up call to Tottenham and they need to go out and get this deal done now.

The right wing-back spot is the weakest in this Spurs squad, and Porro represents a great chance to go and improve that position.

They know what they need to do to get him – the player has a release clause after all, and while they don’t want to trigger it, they have to pull out the necessary stops to get this deal done.

Spurs can’t miss out on their top target this month, not while their performances on the pitch are as bad as they are.
