Paul Merson has said on Sky Sports Premier League (7:30pm, January 15, 2023) that Arsenal attacking midfielder Martin Odegaard will not have as much fun against Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United as he had against Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the North London derby.
Arsenal got the better of Tottenham 2-0 away from home at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday evening.
Odegaard scored the Gunners’ second goal in the 36th minute.
The Norway international attacking midfielder had a very good game for Arsenal.
Yet again.
Arsenal will take on Manchester United at the Emirates Stadium in North London in the Premier League next weekend.
Former Arsenal star and Sky Sports pundit Merson believes that Odegaard will not have the same kind of game against Manchester United that he had against Tottenham.
Merson has noted that Manchester United star Casemiro is one of the two best defensive midfielders in the Premier League and will make it hard for the £85,000-a-week (The Mirror) former Real Madrid player.
The Sky Sports pundit believes that Arsenal star Thomas Partey is the other best holding midfield in the Premier League.

The pundit said: “The best two holding midfielders in the whole of the Premier League, in my opinion – Casemiro and Partey. Odegaard won’t have all the fun next week.”
