Chelsea are ready to ramp up their interest in signing Brighton and Hove Albion winger Leandro Trossard despite signing Mykhailo Mudryk.

That’s according to the Daily Mail, who claim that Chelsea are ready to ‘step up their interest’ in two Brighton players.

Trossard is one of them whilst Chelsea also fancy signing his Brighton teammate Moises Caicedo before the January deadline.

It’s stated that Trossard and Caicedo as Chelsea’s ‘next targets’ after securing a deal for Shakhtar Donetsk winger Mudryk on Sunday.

Trossard worked under Chelsea boss Graham Potter at Brighton and a reunion may be very appealing to the Belgian.

Trossard is currently at odds with Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi and he has been left out of Brighton’s last three games.

A move away seems almost inevitable at this point and Chelsea are seemingly interested in making yet another signing.

Arsenal are probably sick of Chelsea amid Leandro Trossard rumours

Chelsea just seem to be collecting players at this point and juggling registration rules for the Premier League and Champions League should be fun… or chaos.

The Blues just don’t need Trossard right now given that they already have the likes of Raheem Sterling, Kai Havertz and Hakim Ziyech as well as new signings Mudryk and Joao Felix.

Trossard doesn’t really fit the idea of signing quality young players, as he has already turned 28.

This news will be particularly frustrating to other Premier League clubs such as Tottenham and the jilted team in the Mudryk race, Arsenal.

The Athletic claim that Tottenham have already had a £12million verbal bid for Trossard rejected.

David Ornstein has also told NBC Sports that Trossard to Arsenal is ‘one to watch’ in light of Arsenal being hijacked by Chelsea for Mudryk.

Chelsea beating Arsenal to Joao Felix didn’t feel that bid given that it was an expensive short-term loan, but the Mudryk deal will have really hurt.

Arsenal may now fancy Trossard as an alternative to Mudryk but Chelsea even want him too, seemingly following Arsenal’s every turn.

You couldn’t blame Edu and co for being sick of Chelsea now and Arsenal will want their London rivals to stop targeting the same players.
