The Independent have reported that Mykhailo Mudryk will earn £100,000 per week as salary at Graham Potter’s Chelsea, double of what Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal offered to him.

Chelsea and Arsenal salary offers to Mykhailo Mudryk

The report has claimed that Arsenal were willing to pay Mudryk £50,000 per week, as they attempted to sign the winger from Shakhtar Donetsk in the January transfer window.

Chelsea are paying the 22-year-old winger over £100,000 per week, according to the report.

That is more than what wide players Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka get paid at Arsenal.

According to Spotrac, Brazil international forward Martinelli is on £90,000 per week as salary at the Gunners, while England international star Saka gets £70,000 per week.

The Independent have claimed that Chelsea also offered more transfer fee than Arsenal to Shakhtar for the winger and are now set to bring him to Stamford Bridge.

Tempting

In our view, we can understand why Mykhailo Mudryk decided to move to Chelsea instead of holding out for a transfer to Arsenal in the future.

A weekly salary of £100,000 is a lot for a 22-year-old.

Most players of that age would be more than happy with that.

Now, a weekly salary of £50,000 is quite a good amount, but Chelsea were doubling what was on offer from Arsenal, who also did not match their transfer fee.

Chelsea just wanted Mudryk more than Arsenal.
