Arsenal want Ivan Fresneda and have ramped up their interest in signing the Real Valladolid wonderkid in recent days.
That’s according to The Telegraph, who report that Arsenal have been making their admiration for Fresneda clear in the last few days.
It’s stated that Arsenal would prefer to sign Fresneda over the summer rather than during this month’s transfer window.
However, Arsenal could sell right back Cedric Soares to Fulham this month and that could pave the way for Fresneda to arrive.
The report claims that Fresneda can be signed for around £10million to £15million with Valladolid accepting that a departure is likely.
This move of course isn’t in response to missing out on Mykhaylo Mudryk; the Ukrainian is a winger whilst Fresneda is a right back.
Yet with Mudryk heading to Chelsea in a shock twist of events, signing Fresneda would at least be a welcome boost for Arsenal.

Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur also want Arsenal target Ivan Fresneda
Arsenal may need to move quickly if they do want to bring Fresneda to North London.
Fresneda has been linked with a host of clubs during this month’s transfer window.
Spanish football expert Fernando Kallas spoke to Sky Sports News earlier this month (04/01, 12:23pm) and claimed that Fresneda is likely to join Newcastle United.
Kallas suggested that players and staff were already saying goodbye to Fresneda as they expected him to leave for St James’ Park.
Yet almost two weeks on, no deal with Newcastle has been struck and other clubs have hope.
90Min claim that Tottenham Hotspur are weighing up an approach for Fresneda, as are Manchester United and Chelsea.
The 18-year-old has become a hot commodity this season having broken into the Valladolid side.
Formerly of Real Madrid, Fresneda looks to have a huge future ahead of him and Arsenal would no doubt love to beat Newcastle, Tottenham and especially Chelsea to his signature, whether it’s this month or the summer.
