In our view, if Tottenham Hotspur end up signing Leandro Trossard, Antonio Conte should take a page out of the Graham Potter playbook and utilise him as a left wing-back.
Trossard to Tottenham speculation
Firstly, Roberto De Zerbi confirmed on Friday that the Belgian international aims to ‘change team’, and the manager is not the biggest fan of the player’s attitude (via Graeme Bailey).
90 Min had also stated that Spurs were set to make contact to complete a deal for the £18 million (Sky Sports) star.
The Evening Standard had also reported that Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur were planning to launch a bid for once-Graham Potter favourite, Leandro Trossard.
If Trossard does become a Tottenham player, Conte should take a tip from Potter on how to use him

It isn’t a secret to suggest that the Lilywhites have a crisis at wing-back.
While Emerson Royal usually bears the brunt of said issue, it must be acknowledged that Ivan Perisic has been hot-and-cold so far as well, while Ryan Sessegnon is yet to convince in the role.
While Leandro Trossard thriving as a left wing-back under Graham Potter at Brighton earlier this season, Antonio Conte could look to utilise him in this very position.
Yes, Trossard should be brought in to play further forward.
However, the 28-year-old proved this campaign that he has the range in his game as a wing-back to stand out in both inverted and wide areas.
Out wide, Leandro Trossard showed under Graham Potter that he is two-footed enough to be a lethal 1v1 threat and crosser out wide, which could massively work under Antonio Conte as well.
While in inverted areas, the ex-Genk man’s smart link-up play and nifty footwork make him such a danger centrally.
This is not to suggest that Ivan Perisic is a lost cause yet, but he simply does not boast the all-round game the Brighton talisman does as a wing-back.
If a move goes over the line and just as a temporary solution, Antonio Conte should take inspiration from Graham Potter and use Leandro Trossard as a left wing-back, in our view.
