Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has raved about Gabriel Jesus in Football.London, and has said that the Brazil international striker is keen on returning to action for the Gunners.
Jesus is on the sidelines at the moment, having suffered an injury while playing for Brazil at the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
Arteta has admitted that he does not know when the former Manchester City striker will be back for Arsenal.
However, the Gunners boss has stressed that the striker wants to be back.
Mikel Arteta on Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus
Arteta said when asked about Jesus’s progress: “He’s progressing really well, he’s working really hear, he’s in the right place in terms of the time that we set for him, but he’s still a bit far.”
The Arsenal boss added when asked if the striker will be back before the end of the season: “I’d like to see him very quickly but I don’t think it’s gonna happen. We’re gonna have to be patient with that one. But let’s see.
“It’s a complicated surgery, in any surgery there are always a lot of things were you have to be cautious He’s a player that’s going to push to be really fast on the pitch.”

Should Gunners fans be worried?
In our view, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta not saying whether or not he will have Gabriel Jesus back before the end of the season is worrying.
Now, of course, we must not read too much into it, but it should have an easy ‘yes’ or ‘no’ answer.
We understand that Arteta and Arsenal will not want to rush Jesus back into action, it is important that the striker does get back into the team in the coming months.
After all, Arsenal are in a great position to win the Premier League title this season.
And they need Jesus.
