The race for Mykhaylo Mudryk’s signature may be entering the final furlong.
Indeed, Arsenal finally look to be closing in on the Ukrainian winger after weeks of negotiations, and according to Fabrizio Romano, a third bid has now gone in for the attacker.
The Gunners have made a bid of €70m plus add-ons for the player, and there is hope on the London club’s side that this will be enough to secure his signature.
It’s not just Arsenal who are hoping that this deal will get done either, Mudryk has constantly been dropping hints on social media that he wants this move to north London and on Thursday evening, he dropped yet another hint.
Mudryk posted a prayer emoji on his Instagram story after reports of a third bid from Arsenal emerged, and it doesn’t take a genius to figure out the meaning behind this.
Mudryk is clearly hopeful that his dream move to the Emirates will now finally get over the line.
The youngster has been very vocal about the fact he wants this move to Arsenal, but after weeks and weeks of his dream being blocked by Shakhtar Donetsk, it looks as though this saga may be coming to a close.
Of course, Arsenal’s bid doesn’t yet come close to the £88m fee that Mudryk’s club have been adamant about getting, but €70m plus add-ons is a very appealing package for a player who has never kicked a ball in one of Europe’s top five leagues.
Arsenal are hoping this deal will be done, Mudryk is hoping that this deal will be done all that’s left to see is whether or not Shakhtar finally give this one the greenlight.
