Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are optimistic of signing Mykhailo Mudryk from Shakhtar Donetsk in the January transfer window after making another bid and are not concerned about interest from Graham Potter’s Chelsea in the winger, according to journalist Ben Jacobs on Twitter.
The CBS Sports journalist has said that Arsenal are “very optimistic” about getting a deal done with Shakhtar over the transfer of Mudryk winger this week.
Well-known and well-respected journalist Fabrizio Romano has reported on Twitter that the Gunners’ new bid for the 22-year-old is close to €70 million (£62.22 million) plus add-ons.

Arsenal stance on Chelsea target Mykhailo Mudryk after new bid for Shakhtar Donetsk winger
Exciting
In our view, the tweets from Fabrizio Romano and Ben Jacobs are very exciting for Arsenal fans in regard to signing Mykhailo Mudryk.
The Gunners clearly think that they will be able to sign the 22-year-old, and with Chelsea having Joao Felix on loan from Atletico Madrid, they are right to be dismissive of the threat posed by the Blues.
The Guardian reported last week that Chelsea had held talks with Shakhtar over Mudryk.
