Leeds United are interested in Seko Fofana but will face a battle with both Monaco and Nice for the Lens midfielder.
That’s according to Media Foot in France, who claim that Fofana could leave Lens this summer despite signing a new contract back in August.
It’s stated that Leeds are ‘on the spot’ for Fofana, seemingly ready and waiting to make their move for his signature.
Yet it’s added that Nice and Monaco – Ligue 1 rivals of Lens – are already preparing moves of their own ahead of the summer window.
Fofana could have left Lens over the summer as The Independent reported in September that Arsenal made a ’serious approach’ to sign the Ivorian.
Arsenal may yet return with a new move for Fofana if they know he is on the move, meaning Leeds face a major battle for his signature.

Who is Leeds United target Seko Fofana?
Fofana was born in Paris and actually started his career with Paris FC rather than Paris Saint-Germain.
The midfielder moved on at just 15 as he joined Lorient, and Manchester City then saw enough potential in him to strike a 2013 deal.
Fofana was never able to make the breakthrough at City, instead heading on loan to Fulham and Bastia.
City did eventually sell Fofana to Udinese in 2016 , and he enjoyed four years in Italy as one of the top Serie A midfielders.
Lens secured an enormous coup back in 2020 and Fofana has just gone from strength to strength back in France, hence so much interest.
Fofana also has eight caps for the Ivory Coast, bagging three goals.
6ft 1in Fofana is a real all-action midfielder, showing the ability to break up play, protect his back four, dictate play and get forward to support the attack.
Compared to both Yaya Toure and Patrick Vieira, Fofana is a true box-to-box player.
Leeds won’t find it easy to sign him but this would be an enormous coup if Leeds can pull off a deal.
